About the Ride

Ride Around the Lake is Illawarra’s own recreational Cycle raising funds and awareness for youth at risk of homelessness.

This year will be the 8th edition of the ride and will be held on Saturday, 6 May 2017.

The ride is about ‘breaking the cycle’ of youth at risk of homelessness, by raising awareness and funds for Lighthouse Youth Initiative.
There are two rides a “40km” Ride Around the Lake” experience and a 10km “Lakeside” ride, with both starting at Lakeside Park Kanahooka.

The 40km is open for riders aged 16 years and over, with younger riders (12-15) allowed with an accompanying adult.

The ride is based on fun and participation, with hundreds taking part on a safe scenic course.
