About the Ride

Ride Around the Lake is Illawarra’s own recreational Cycle for Charity. The ride takes place in May each year. This year will be the 7th edition of the ride and will be held on Saturday, 7 May 2016. The ride is about ‘breaking the cycle’ of youth at risk of homelessness, by raising awareness and funds for Lighthouse Youth Initiative.
The ride is based on fun and participation, with hundreds taking part on a safe scenic course. So the whole family can take part.
There is a 40 kilometre circuit that meanders around Lake Illawarra, and the surrounding suburbs. There is also a 10 kilometre cycle path event for younger riders and families.

The 40Km ride is open to riders ages 16 and over (12-15 with an accompanying adult) and the Kids family is ride perfect for the little one’s and all the family. For more information visit the FAQ
